The Value of Virtue in a Woman

Proverbs 31:10-31

The original American dream to educate yourself, get married, have children and live happily ever after has become almost ancient in this day in age. A couple can make or break each other by building up or tearing down everything they have built. A loving respectful spouse can balance a person and help guide them in a positive direction. This is why it is of utmost importance for women to not succumb to the expectations of today's society. A Woman should not only concern herself with beauty that fades on the outside, but should work to cultivate the inner beauty of character and intellect.

Women who think dialectical understand that people don’t always agree. A woman of understanding will bring joy to garnish any home even though small disagreements will remain. Those arguments will end in an understanding compromise. This is the blessing of attaining a woman of virtue.

The walls of a virtuous woman’s home echo laughter and joy daily even in the midst of difficult times. The family will rise up and call her blessed. Jealousy and strife are not welcome in her home and are quickly and apologetically replaced with love.

“The time to love a man the most is when he's at his lowest and can't believe in himself, cause the world’s done whooped him, so when you start measuring a man, measure him right. Make sure you have taken into account the hills and valleys he come through before he got to wherever he is."

-Hansberry

The desire of the heart for the future of one’s life is manifested and made tangible to enjoy, not only with hard work, or enterprise, but with faith, determination, and sacrifice. Sometimes motivation to achieve a goal only lasts but a moment. That’s why it takes discipline to overcome those times when giving up or settling seem like an option. I have discovered a loving family, a fulfilling career and a luxurious home are all attainable. However the determination, and perseverance it takes to maintain them over time is where many fall short.
